Co-working and managed office space providers are seeing a big spike in demand, as more companies call back people to work or opt for a hybrid work model in a post-Covid world. Amid high attrition and employees seeking greater work-life balance, companies now want to give their workforce flexible options, targeted at driving greater employee satisfaction while maintaining an asset-light, convenient strategy for themselves, say leading workspace providers including 91Springboard, IndiQube, WeWork, and Incuspaze. Tech, startups, IT and ITeS companies and BPOs are leading the pack when it comes to opting for such spaces, though larger, more traditionally companies are gradually making the shift as well. Different companies have different approaches. Some want to open multiple offices (intra-city centres) within large metros to reduce commute time for employees: there is also a big jump in interest for opening smaller spoke office in small cities.
Covid-19 has resulted in an increase in adoption of flexible workspaces across the globe and India is no different. Large enterprises are now open to this model owing to the increased flexibility and zero-capex nature of deals,” said Rishi Das, Co-founder, IndiQube.
